The stay had its ups and downs. The hotel had some wonderful aspects such as comfortable beds and excellent dining options, particularly at Baileys restaurant. However, the lack of Wi-Fi in the rooms and other inconveniences like the staff asking guests to carry their own luggage detracted from the experience. Overall, it was a decent stay, though there are areas that could definitely be improved.

The rooms were clean and adequate, though they are starting to show their age. We had a comfortable king-size bed and managed to get a good night's sleep.

Service was a bit hit-or-miss. While some staff were attentive, there were instances of indifference to requests which didn’t leave a great impression.

The location is pretty good. It’s within walking distance of town, but be prepared for the heat if you’re walking that distance during the day.

The pool and spa area were nice and well-kept, but it felt like they could use a little more investment in upkeep and updates.

My stay at Governors Lodge had its ups and downs. The units are spacious and comfortable, making it easy to feel at home. However, the lack of proper kitchen facilities and the inadequate breakfast options were disappointing. I appreciated the comfortable beds and the new TV, but the service and dining left much to be desired. Overall, it's an average experience that could be improved.

Overall, I had a lovely stay at the resort. The individual cottages are nestled in a beautiful tropical garden, providing a peaceful atmosphere. The breakfast was delightful, and I loved the variety offered at meals. However, the room I stayed in felt a bit dated and could use some updates. Still, I appreciated the cleanliness and comfort of my stay.

The staff were polite and helpful, which made the experience even better. However, our room felt a bit dated and could use a renovation. My stay at the Governor's Lodge was quite the mixed bag. The location is perfect for exploring the area and the ambiance is lovely with its tropical gardens. However, I encountered some cleanliness issues, and the service could really use a boost. While I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, the breakfast options were also quite limited and not very appetizing at times.

The cabin we stayed in had cobwebs on the windows and didn't smell very fresh. It felt dusty, and the floor wasn't vacuumed during our cleaning service.
Service
5.0
I had to frequently request basic supplies like soap and toilet paper, and the office was closed on Sundays, which was inconvenient. Staff was generally helpful, though.
Location

The location is ideal, with easy access to cafes, shops, and restaurants. It felt safe and was surrounded by beautiful gardens.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was rather basic, with limited options. There were days when the milk was off and the scones were stale; not what I expected.
Facilities
6.0
The garden setting was nice, but the overall upkeep seemed a bit lacking. The pools and BBQ area were enjoyable but could use better maintenance.
